Perhaps it’s the most widespread and often usable position. It this position it is easy to keep up fast rhythm and high intensity of frictions.
This position is called “man position” by rights, as the man dominate. Movements of woman are limited. The merit of this position is that man could combine the friction with kisses his partner lips, neck, ears and breast.
In “Men on top” position the partners could also look to each other in eyes during the coitus. Many of women likes when the man snuggles to their breast. Massive men should control their weight at the expense of arms support, as to not injure woman. 
Woman can embrace the man with her legs to provide greater penetration. To compensate a difference of partner’s growth a pillow could be laid under the woman back.
